If you want to get the best possible photographs out of your experience at Sundance Studios we suggest the following easy to follow tips. These tips will help you and you get the pictures you want while having loads of fun doing it.
Pick a good time
You should allow yourself plenty of rest before your senior session, no sense of coming in stressed out about the big test, or a big game. We have an extremely flexible shooting schedule for our seniors and we’re sure we can fit you in at a time that’s convenient for you! Depending on the number of changes and poses you want you should allow at least 1 hour for 3 changes.
Don’t be shy with changes
Unlike many photography studios who charge by the clothing change for seniors, we allow you to change as many times as you want! We encourage you to come with more than just one out fit, bring something classy, something fun, bring your band or sports uniforms! The senior image is about capturing who you are and what you love doing. We’re more than welcoming of any props you want to bring. (Please no weapons of mass destruction or hand grenades).
Bring your iPod
Might as well enjoy your music while getting your senior pictures done. Our studios are iPod/iPhone friendly.
Do some research
Before your big day, don’t be afraid to browse our website, or look in magazines for idea’s on what you want. Finding poses you like and are comfortable with is essential in getting a great picture. Don’t be afraid to practice in front of a mirror before coming in, just make sure no one is around until you’ve mastered that pose!
Most importantly, BE YOURSELF
We hear it many times a day about how much you hate having your picture taken. Don’t worry though you aren’t alone, almost everyone who comes thru the door has some camera shyness, and its perfectly normal. Remember though to be yourself and don’t act to serious (unless of course you’re a serious person!). Smile, and smile lots so everyone can remember what a wonderful person you are!
Hire a professional
I know it’s so tempting to have Uncle Steve, and Aunt Mary take your photos with their digital camera, but hire a professional you won’t regret it. Even if you decide Sundance Studios isn’t right for you, we still want you to get the perfect image to remember your high school years with, and it’s a complicated, complicated process that has taken years to perfect.
Don’t forget we have superior skills in Photoshop to make any necessary corrections to the images like blemish removal, fixing different size eyeballs, teeth whitening, and best of all you won’t have red eyes!
