We understand this can be a confusing experience to some parents who may have never had their senior pictures done, or are going through it for the first time with their children and we’re here to help you better understand the process and how everything works. Don’t worry you aren’t alone, we probably get 100’s of these calls every year, so don’t be afraid to ask any questions you may have also.
Q: How much does it cost for on-location shoots?
A: With our new pricing model starting February 1st, 2010 there is no more travel charge. You pay by the hour with our Senior Portraits and that includes any travel time to and from the location of your choice. For example, if you wanted pictures at Beaver Creek State Park, the travel time is normally 15 minutes there and back, so that’s 30 total minutes, but it comes off your Photography Time, so your soon to be graduate will have 30 minutes of photography time left. We have roughly 1 acre of property at our Dresden Avenue location that we frequently use for outdoor shots, so on-location isn’t a necessity any more!
Q: What all do I get for the sitting fee?
A: The sitting fee covers all of our expenses for taking your son/daughters senior pictures. It will cover any travel time to and from location shoots, a proof page, as well as a Image CD that contains all your son/daughters images for use on their sites like MySpace, Facebook, or whatever they want! Starting Feb 1st, 2010 the sitting fee now includes unlimited changes, and poses for one hour of photography. Additional hours can be purchased if needed, but try to request them in advance so we don’t have any scheduling conflicts.
Q: Can I bring stuff with me?
A: YES! We encourage all parents to help their student get involved with their senior photography session and bring items that have made their high school years memorable. Some students bring in band, or sports gear, some bring in cars, and we’ve even had students bring a horse to our Studio location to be photographed with.
Q: What happens after the session?
A: Your images are then processed and printed out on proof sheets, and you can come in and order your packages. This usually takes under 72 hours to turn around so you’ll have images to choose from. If you want to take the proof sheets home a $100 refundable deposit is required. The refund will be then taken off your order (or any remaining balance given back)
Q: Are there currently any specials or incentives for me to bring my student there?
A: The best time to get your senior photographs booked is in the early summer or right around when school starts, and it’s also when we have our best specials. Most of the time these include free prints or a sizable discount on orders over a certain amount. Starting February 1st, 2010 Every order over $400 gets 1 additional print of their choice (up to 11×14).
Q: What kind of packages do you have?
A: Our packages are made with customers in mind starting at only $99.95 or you can build your own packages and receive discount tiers depending on the amount ordered. For non-package orders $0-$100 get 5% off, $101 – $200 get 10% off, $201-$600 get 15% off. We’re work with all of our customers to ensure they get the best deals possible in professional photography.
Q: Do you offer payment plans or financing?
A: While we do not offer financing for our photographs we do have a payment plan in place to make it easier for you. When you pick out your photographs to order 50% of the total is due the day of the order. The final 50% is due the day you pick up the order from us. Orders generally take 3-5 days to process, and larger prints may extend that window by up to two weeks depending on the size.
Q: Do you offer free prints or referral bonuses?
A: Starting Feb 1st, 2010 we’re going to have special setup for our senior photography clients. After you place an order you can earn cold hard cash for every person you refer back to Sundance Studios. Just take a business card, write your name and number on the back and everyone who brings that card in and orders at least $100 worth of photographs will earn you $25 in cash! The more you refer the more you earn!
