Our Studio

Our studio is located at in East Liverpool, Ohio. We have been at this location for the previous 8 years, and before this we were located in downtown East Liverpool for 17 years. We have been in business in East Liverpool for over 25 years, and our combined photography experience is now over 60 years. Our beautiful brick building provides a beautiful brick backdrop, a graffiti wall, hand painted canvas back drops and various other scenes for your selection.

Our photographs our printed on the highest quality paper, using the best inks available on the market rated for over 100 years for each print. Your images will be the same as the day you got them printed 50 years from now with the proper storage and care. No matter your photography needs, at Sundance Photography Studio we can take pride in knowing we’ll be able to exceed them.

What to bring.

Thanks for deciding to come to our studio for your photography needs. You maybe nervous or this might be your first time in front of the camera in years but don’t worry, we make this as easy as can be.

What to bring for kids and pets…
We love photographing children and pets, so if you’re bringing yours to the studio, be sure to bring along some toys for them. After all, all work and no play make for boring photographs.

What to bring for couples…
If you’re a couple coming in for a shoot, you may want to bring some clothing changes, make up, hair products, stylish accessories etc. Don’t forget any items you want to capture your personality better!

What to bring for groups…
Don’t forget to bring everyone! It’s difficult and time consuming to photoshop people in that aren’t there. We’re very flexible schedule wise so if someone can’t make it let us know.

Tips for better portraits

We want you to get the best portraits possible, so we’re going to need a little help from you! One of the most frequent questions we get is “What should I/we wear to the shoot?”. Honestly you should wear something you are comfortable in, if you’re a jeans and t-shirt kinda person, then dressing up in a full suit and tie for no reason probably won’t make you comfortable.

Other things to consider to get the most out of your shoot are…

If you’re bringing a group, coordinate all the colors. Making sure everyone has sort of a uniform look is the best way to get great group shots.
Avoid super bright colors like red and yellow. While you may look great in these, they generally cast ugly tones on your skin that are hard to correct.
If you wear glasses, get some frames with no lenses.
Don’t worry about braces and be sure to smile BIG! If you don’t want braces in your photo we can remove them when you order!
Come organized! Know what you want and expect from your photography session. We aren’t mind readers so your vision of a great photo is probably different than ours. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want!

Wedding Day Help

No matter if its your first time getting married or your third, having a positive experience with your wedding photographer is the least we can do to help! So lets reduce your stress level and help you make this day one to remember for ever!

Organize your guests, and important people so they know to stick around to get photographs after the ceremony.
If you want outdoor shots done be sure to have a location picked out before hand to save precious time.
Decorate your dressing rooms.
Don’t be in a rush to get things done before we leave. You can always add more time.
Come in and meet your photographer.
Get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids!
Provide us with the plans of your wedding ceremony. Or we’ll attend the rehearsal free of charge if requested.
Plan the shots you want with us!

We strive to get group shots, and traditional wedding shots, and really play it by ear for each wedding since they are always different. You know what you want and expect better than us so telling us before your wedding is vital to getting great photography.

Earn a free shoot!

We’re always looking for motivated students who want to earn a free photography shoot valued with a $354.90 value. Now we’re making that possible for students and parents with our easy program. The only fine print is that you are responsible for all sales tax for whatever you win, and there is no limit to what you can earn. The program is simple and works like this:

Come grab about 20-25 business cards and write your name and number on them.
Pass them out to friends and family. Tell them to bring the card with them when they come in.
When 5 students come book their shoots and pay, you get a free sitting fee.
If 10 students come in with the card and your name, you get a free sitting fee, plus collection 1. ($154.90 Value)
If 15 students come in with the card and your name, you get a free sitting fee, plus collection 2. ($254.90 Value)
If 20 students come in with the card and your name, you get a free sitting fee, plus collection 3. ($354.90 Value)

Students must book a session, show up, and pay their sitting fee to get credit. If they forget your card or lost it, the must tell us you sent them to get credit!

Tips for parents

We understand this might be your first time getting your child’s senior pictures done, and even if you’ve been through it before these tips will help you get the most out of your photographs! Remember you CAN choose the photographer you want for your child’s senior pictures, don’t settle for the school contracted photographer if you don’t want to!

If your graduate wears glasses, ask the eye doctor if you can borrow some lens free frames.
Before selecting any photographer stop by our studio to see our shooting area and previous work.
Be sure to check out our Senior Gallery to get some ideas of things you like.
Don’t be shy! If you have any poses in mind just let us know. Be involved in the process!
Learn about our easy payment methods.
Get info on our affordable products and prices.
Don’t feel pressured to use the schools photographers. Our photographs have been in yearbooks for over 25 years.
Evaluate what you’ll be getting for your money. Look for a pricing structure with which you are comfortable. Remember that these photos are
meant to last a lifetime
Encourage your child to be happy and smile!

Tips for seniors

We want you to get the most out of your senior photography experience at Sundance Studios so we’ve composed these quick tips for you. We have years of experience photography high school seniors and will you’re all unique following these basic tips can improve your photographs tremendously.

Avoid clothes that match your skin color. These colors will literally drain the color from your skin and make you look washed out.
Bring a variety of colors and styles.
Don’t forget the small things. We take pictures close-up, 3/4 length and full length so don’t forget shoes and maybe some accessories.
Bring your achievements, cars, pets, friends or whatever you want in with you.
Don’t be shy! We want you to look and feel comfortable so if there is something you want to do let us know!
Brush your teeth, comb your hair, maybe even shave a little (guys!). Don’t worry about the break out from last week, we can fix that before we print your photos!
Talk to your parent and schedule a time thats good for you! Don’t come in all stressed out the day before a big game, or test. We work had to make sure you have a convient time.
Clean your hands and fingernails.
If you wear glasses, borrow frames from your eye doctor with no lenses.
